With LeBron James and the Miami Heat less than 24 hours away from their Playoff run, Nike is already in post-season mode.
The Swoosh is hosting about 20 media members in Miami, where they’ve run us through the ins and outs of the new Lebron 8 PS — LeBron’s signature shoe for the Playoffs — which drops on Saturday. I’ll get into the performance of the shoe (spoiler alert: it’s really, really nice) in my next post. For now, I wanted to drop some images and info on the sneaker.
Using three Nike technologies, LeBron’s Playoff shoe features a 180 Max Air unit in the heel, Zoom Air in the forefoot and Hyperfuse technology for the shoe’s material, making it a full 2.5 ounces lighter than the shoe that LeBron wore at the start of this season, the LeBron 8 V1.
For now, check out the pics and watch for a second post that gets into the wear test we did today and thoughts from the shoe’s designer, Jason Petrie, on how and why the LeBron 8 has evolved through the season.
